ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES PECULIAR DEATH QF AN OLD MAN.' i (By Telegraph.—Pr«B Association.) Auckland, October 18. Alexandor Glennic, 6 ( J years of age, was foiuul in Cornwall Park on a wood heap with a deep cut on his wist and suffering from loss of blood and shock, from wliich he died at the Costloy Homo. Ho stated that he had -sustained injuries by - falling from a- window. At an inquest, evidence was given that deceased was found alongside a chopping-block, and that there was a sharp axe close by, with bloodstains on the blade. Deceased said he might have injurod himself with the axe; lie didn't remember. The verdict was that deat'h was due to exposure and exhaustion, following severe hemorrhage. SWCJDH. Dlinedin, October IS. Andrew Smith, aged (if), a boxmaker, fool; poison yesterday, dying half an hour later. He hi*d been in ill-health.
