"All our efforts should be made with a viow to taking an early offensive, which will be the more difficult the longer it is delated. Commanders of brigades _ and regiments are urged to keep their defensives activity up to tho highest pitch. Instead of acting on the will of tho enemy, wo must imposo our will upon him, the troops utilising all their resources and ingenuity to do 6troy tho enemy."
