KURITAI FROM NEW YORK. An arrival from New York, via Panama Oanal yesterday, was the 0. and. D. liner Muritai. She left tie AmerioaiT" port on August 31, arriving at Panama Oanal on September 8. On that dato there was only 7 feet of water in the Gnlebra Out, and as the Muritai was drawing 30 feet she was delayed nine days till-the channel was drodged to tho required depti. The Muritai finally left Panama on September 17. The journey across tho Pacific was marked by exceptionally fine weather, and the run to New Zealand was accomplished in 22 days Captain Firth is still in command, ana has associated with Mm the following officers—Chief, Mr. R. En route from London, the New Zealand Shipping Company's Ruapehu is reported to have left Oaipe Town for Hobart on October 13.
