Dalgety and Company, Limited, report:—At our Palmerston North salo on Thursdav we had a very pood entry, of sheep and cattle,. all of wliich. sold under keeu competition at prices as follow Shorn hoggets, 14s. lid.; mixed woolly hoggets, 18s. Id.,' 20s. Bd., 21s. 7d. to 225. 3d.; forward ewes, to 245. 7d.; empty ewes, to .t'4 2s. W.; forward cows, £6, 165.; light fat cows, £9 3s. to £10; empty 18-months heifers, to £3; 2-year steers, to £6 7s. Messrs. Dalgety and Co ; , Ltd., Masterton, report having held their annual sprmg cattle fair at Pahiatna, on Wednesday. The entry comprised cattle of good quality, and in fairly good condition for this timo of the season. Young cattle were keenly rompeted for, but grown bullocks were hard to quit.
