e CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE 'AT LEVIN. (Br TelorrßDli—Pre** Association-* Levin, October 15. This morning, at 1.35 o'clock, a fire occurred at Pringlo and Haste's Building, in Oxford Street, occupied by S. Ladelle (photographer) and It. E. Lucas (bookseller and stationer). The building and contents were destroyed completely, and fronts of the adjoining shopsj owned l by F. C. Remington and occupied by tho Modern Printing Company and'F. C. Remington .(chemist), were damaged slightly. The insurances were: —Pringle end Haste, £450; Lucas's 6tock, £375; Ladelle's, £130; Modern Printing Company, £230 (the damage done amounting to £40); . Remington's Building, £350, stock £700. BIG HOUSE DESTROYED. Feilding, October 15. Mr. R. L. Levin's residence of forty rooms at.. Taonui was completely. destroyed by lire last night. The occupants barely escaped. Nothing was, saved. The insurances are not known.
