MARRYING BROKEN HEROES
SCHEME OF TWO CLERGYMEN By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrlght ("Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.) (Rec. October 15, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 14. ; The Reverends Houghton and Shellard have organised a league for marrying broken heroes. The Rev. Houghton writes: "Maimed soldiers deserve tho joys of family life. There are- many noble-minded, patriotic women who would gladly givo the strength of their lives to ameliorate the heroes' condition. Moral heroism is tho finest legacy for children, and so Nature compensates. English minds shrink _ from arranged marriages, but these in France are the' happiest/ because they forecast consideration and care." The Advisory Committee includes doctors.
