The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their weekly stock sale, held at Levin yards on Wednesday, they offered a fair yarding of cattle, which was 6old at thp following prices—Btoro cows, £3 14s to £3 18s.; springing cows, to £7; mixed woaners, 255. 6d. to 265. 6d. A good yarding of uign met with keen competition. Sows with litters, £5 10s. to £6 ICs.; fat porkers, 29s tt» 355.; store pigs, 17a. to 265.; wcaner pigs, Us. 6d. to 16b.
Messrs. W..and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., Tepnrt having hoid their usual weekly sale at their Waipoua (Masterton) Sale Yards on Wednesday. A yarding as advertised came forward, which met with keen competition throughout, ajid a good clearance was made at the following prices — F.m. woolly ewes, with 100 per cent. b.f. lamb". 325, 6d. to 345. 5d.; fat woollv ewes 265. 6d„ 295. to 30s. 6d.; fat shorn weth»rs (light). 20s. 9d. : small hoggets. 8s icd Fat heifers, £10 10s.; good cows, £12 5s •' medium, £7 10s. ; cow and calf, £6 10s' store cows. £4 10s. to £4 lis.; store 3-year lieifers, £4 18s.; springing cow (cW to profit), £7 15s„ £7 17s. 6d. We also sold, on account of Hospital Ship Fund, one shorn hogget and one sack Algerian oats donated by Mr. F. J. Brooks, Taratahi which fetched a grand total of £6 18s.
