EIGHT SISTERS GOING TO EGYPT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christcliurch, October 14. Miss Bout, secretary of the Volunteer Sisterhood, lias reported that oyer £1001) will bo paid to the Defence Minister for the Volunteer Sisterhood in Egypt. Eight sisters are being sent. The following bodies are contributing:— Patriotic committees at Gisborne, £200; Wanganui and Hawera Shearers' Union. Kirltcaldio and Stains, New Zealand Farmers' Co-operativo, and Graco Bros (Carterton), £100 each. The nurses will loave towards the end of the month.
