' . London, October 13. Mr. H. W. Forster (Uiuler-Secretary for War), speaking in the House of Commons, said that tho payments to tho dependents of soldiers exceeded one million sterling a week, while the separation allowances paid to dependents of sailors totalled £200,000 a week.
