A FIREMAN'S WEDDING

The Wellington Fire Brigade Station was a scene of exhilarating jollity yesterday afternoon, the occasion being the wedding of Station Officer T. B. Clark a popular member of the Brigade, who yesterday linked his lot to that of Miss J'/Jieu Elizabeth Wilkinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilkinson, of Brooklyn- . After the celebration of the wedding in St. Peter's Church, the couple drove down to the station, and on arrival there were accorded a guard of honour by the brigadesmcn, who. recognised the occasion by donning full uniform. Each niomber of the guard boro a brightly-polished fireman's axe, and under an arclnvay formed by the crossed blades, the happy couple, amidst a shower of rice and confetti, passed into she station, where the central section had been handsomely laid out with the wedding-breakfast. There bride and bridegroom were toasted heartily, and the friends of botli parties expressed wishes the realisation of which will mean . a particularly roseate future for Mr. and Mrs. Clark. This is the first wedding which has been' celebrated at the station, but it was deemed advisable, indeed quite a happy idea, as in case of any sudden call, tho men would all be on duty at once.
