Mrs. Mary Stewart died at her residence, Parnell, Auckland, on Sunday; aged ,83 years. Tlio deceased lady arrived with her parents, tlie late' Mr. and Mrs. Henry Didsbury, as far back as 1839, landing at Bay of .Islands, was present at the signing of the Treaty of -Waitangi, and came to Auckland in same boat as Governor Hobson,' the founder of .that city. The first' Anglifcan service in Auckland wa-s held in the residence of her jjarents. Mrs. Stewart is survived -By. one' daughter; Mrs. Q;.-' J. Hardy,'''6f 'Hobson' Park Road,"" 'Parj 5 1 nell.. ■
