The Railway Department nas made an important concession to; the Hawke s Bay Society this year by granting excursion fares , from the_ whole of the Manawatu line, in addition to the area from which they have been available before, viz., Wairarapa, Wanganui, Taibape, and intermediate stations., Ine accommodation at Hastings has never been so taxed before, and it is expected that the attendance of the public will be larger than ever.
