Members of the Upper Hutt Bowling and Tennis Olubs lalhed in large'numbers during last week at a send-off to Dr. Kemp, who has joined the reinforcements. The social,i-ook the form of a surprise party. . During .the evening, Mr. J. Hanson presented Dr. Kemp, on behalf of the visitors, with a get of surgical pocket instruments, a greenstone and . .gold jjendantj 1 ; and safety razor. 'To' Mrs. Kemp was presented a greenstone ornament. ' Mr. J. R. Gibb rmvdo the presentation. Dr. Kemp, who is.president of the Bowling' Club, and a trustee of the Tennis Club, went into camp on Saturday.'
