Billies for the Soldiers. • Tho Auckland Branch of tlio CountDS3 ,of Liverpool Fund has been very hard at work collecting and packing Christinas gifts for tho men at the front. Like tho Australian women, they have organised a billy scheme, a shilling being required for the billy, whilo an additional live shillings from the contributor will fill it with the required gifts. Each hilly contains: —Pipe, and tobacco or cigarettes, writing pad, chocolate, sweets (blackball and acid drops), towels, handkerchiefs, boot laces. The filling of the billy is completed with 'miscellaneous articles, auoli as soap, insect ■ powder, ' 'housewife, ■' toothbrush, etc.. Each, billy has in it a card with the following inscription: "Wishing'you God speed and Hearty greetings for, Christinas from the people of Auckland Province, Xmas, 1915." i- -
