THE NAVY LEAGUE
A meeting of the local executive of the Navy League, held last night, was attended by Mr. J. B. Harcourfc (in the chair), Messrs. A. H. Miles, D. M'Kelkr, C. 11. Smith, R. Darroch, G. G. Townsend, A. P. Wiren, Major Poison, \Vm. Foster (chairman Headmasters' Association), and 0. W.'Palmer.'
As regards the amounts collected and promised for the Machine-Gun Fund, it was Tesolved, subject to the donors' approval, to devote tlio money to the Sailors' Comforts Fund. It was also decided to allocate 50 per cent, of all school. subscriptions received to that fund.
The names of Mr. 'Alfred Atkins," F.R.1.8.A., and Mr. 0. B. Mori boh, K.C., were added to the Executive Committee.
Great satisfaction was expressed that the Headmasters' Association were warmly supporting rhe league in its approaching celebration of Trafalgar anniversary.
Accounts were passed for payment aggregating £35 Is. Bd., including £26 2s. 2d. remitted to London for 1500 books for school branch members.
