(•In Committee, Clause 125 was amended to allow all acclimatisation -societies, and not only the Canterbury Society, to collect and sell the eggs of . 'black swan's. A number of technical amendments were , mado, and two. new clauses were added, making the total number in the, Bill 139. The Bill was passed. , OTHER BILLS PASSED.. / The Counties Amendment Bill was put through Committee with amendments, read a third time and passed. JThe Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill was put through.all stages and passed. The Inglewood Borough Endowments and Disposal Bill ivas read a, first and referred to the Local Bill? Commit-' tee. UNIVERSITY AMENDMENT. ( The- New Zealand University Amendment Bill. was . introduced from the Bouse, put through all stages without amendment, »nd passed. .The Bill gives power to the Senate to confer diplomas, etc.,.on students who have cnlist-ed, subject to certain safeguards.- ■ '
