Sir George Reid (High Commissioner for Australia)in,an article in the "Evening News," ( states: "For many years to come any. attempt to establish an Imperial Parliament worthy of tho name will be rejected. It has been my life-long conviction that the ties now binding the subjects of tho King and Emperor cannot radically be changed without infinite care, because the present looso condition of things works well on the wliolo. An Imperial Parliament is a noble idea, but before accepting it as an ideal tlio question of its practicability must bo considered. For overy white subject of tho King and Emporor there are six coloured.
