T?ut in a claim lor ,£IOOO, on behalf of herself and her infant child, on account of the death of her husband in the catastrophe. Mr. T. M. Wilford, of Wellington, in whoso hands the case was put, communicated with Messrs. .Jackson, Russell, and 'funks, solicitors for the Taupiri Coalmines Company who paid into Court tie sum of ,£775, the amount awarded by the Court in the other cases. Yesterday morning; Mr. Wilford applied to His Honour Mr. Justice. Cooper, to apportion the amount between the widow and child. His Honour said he .would deal with ■ the matter on his return to Auckland.
