HEMP AND TOW GRADED
The- total number of bales [of-hehip, graded at the ports of the Dominion during September was 11,330, as compared ■with 5816 for tlie corresponding month of last year, an-increase of oSM bales. For the twelve' months ; .ending September: 30 the number of bales graded, was 99;83(i, as compared, with , 121,121; for .the, previoustwelve months, adeorease'of.2l,2Bß bales. During tlie month 2891 bales of tow •were dealt with, as compared with 1365 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 1526 .bales/ -For- the twelvo months ending! September 30, the number of bales gradedr-was' 26,'790. as compared with ; 38,524: for the' previous twelvemonths, a decrease of 11,728 bales. . During the month the number of bales of stripper slips g-raded was 452, as com,pared .with 72 for the corresponding month of last;year, an incr'easo of 380 bales. For the twelve months; ending . September' 80, 3915, tho number of bales graded was 2323, as compared with 3239 for the previous twelve months/a'desrease of 916 bales.
