in interesting statement about the report ,of the commission which recently inquired ■ concerning education _ district boundaries was made in the House yesterday by tlie Minister of Education, the Hon: J.,A. Hanan. ■ , "My colleagues,'' said Mr. Hanan, "do. not agree with the recommendation that has been mado,-and are in'favour • of increasing the number of education districts beyond seven. "With tho object of facilitating the matter being dealt ■with this .session—and the. matter must be dealt with this session—a Bill will be introduced to increase the number of districts recommended by the Royal Commission, and it will provide what I think will be a satisfactory solution of the question of boundaries." , Mr. Forbes: Go back to tho original lutniber. . ' The Minister: No, we cannot do that. MembersLeave_ them as they were. Tlie Minister, said that the whole matter would be discussed when tho Education Act' Amendment Bifl was before the House.
