If they hava jompd us as Britishers, then let ,them; light as well as us and, then let them keep their billets; if not, well you know, Tho farmers are short- of. men; tha butter, cheese, and creameries are not. Why should wo send all cur boys to the front and leave them here? < The Maoris go willingly; why not .them? If the country is worth living in it is worth fighting for. The Kaiser believes in the 1 Bible, where it says brother shall turn ; against brother. What would become of us here? They would tell us it is war.—l am, etc.,
