The simmering cauldron in the Balkans has apparently come to thel boil. Russia has requested Bulgaria, in tho plainest terms, to choose between'renouncing her Austro-Germah relations (and tlismigsing the Aus-tro-German officers from the army), and taking farewell of the Russian Minister at Sofia. Bulgaria was given 24 hours to make up her mind l .' The whole situation ill the Balkans is interestingly canvassed in reports from various sources. The grim conflict on the Western front is proceeding, but the communiques disclose 110 sensational developments.
