The London. Council for the' Promotion of Public Moralty has kept the clubs iihder observation: for months and are now placing evidence before the authorities.. Tie Bishop urges'that tho Government ought to deal drastically, with "the owners of places of' amusement which young soldiers cannot visit without danger. ••• ' ■ The newspapers endorse the Bishop's protest. A number of clubs wero recently closed, _ but the police had cfiffi-; culty. in securing conclusive evidence.
