At- the Police Court, Dr. Albert Harding Porter, arrested at Wellington, was Charged with an attempt to leave New Zealand without making adeiimt-e provision for the maintenance of his wife. ' Counsel for complainant stated that defendant' had made an explanation io his wife as to the circurn'jt i.uces and as to the maintenance, whiclx she had accepted. She did not desire to proceed with the case. The case was struck out.
