SUNDAY-SCHOOL UNION
St. John's Hall was filled last night ; by a. happy lot of boys and girls, who gathored to receive tlio awards, won, in the examination conducted by the Sunday,- School. Union.', There was- a. good attendance of parents and friends. Mr. H. T. H. Grave, president .of the union, was in the chair. The arrangements in regard to marshalling the scholars were in the hands' of Mr. ,W. ITopkirk.' ;The chairman apologised for. tho abseuoe of Mrs. A. E,. Atkinson, Miss Hclyer, and Miss Thompson, who, with Mr. and' Mrs. T-, H. Gill, had con- I ducted the examination. -- The.'prizes, were presented by Mrs. Gill and ', the Rev. B. Hutson, and the certificates by Mr. Alex. Johnston, vice-president. Miss Tasker. and Miss Myrtle Richardson gave two. recitations. Miss Claelian presided at the piano. At • the conclusion a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the examiners, who had ; hsd a heavy task in assessing, marks to 545 papers!' The prizo list has already been published in The Dominion.
