A PROGRESS REPORT. Tlio Minister of Defence has furnished a progress report of tlie work done to date by the War Pensions Board. This report showcdl tlia,t applications had been dealt with as,follow-:—

The report of tlio working of the Australian pensions scliemo up till September 23. which report was published in the newspapers, a few days ago, showed that 955 pensions bad been granted, aud Lbn.-t tho total amount granted was £30,000, an average of about £31 por /wwon.
