HARRIERS
BROOKLYN CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the club supporters assembled to the number of about thirty at Russell's Tea-rooms, Karori. Paper was dispensed with, and the pack was captained by F. Harten, with N. Cummins (deputy-captain) as whipper-in. After finishing the course, the pack was handicapped for a run-in, over about three-quarters of a mile. J. Douglas (off scratch) ran a dead beat with A. Elliott for first place, after a good finish, and C. -Willis (off scratch) was tbird. ; In© ladies iver© afterwards entertained at afternoon tea. Messrs. Harlen and-Bristow spoke, thanking the ladies for their support, and congratulating the winners. Next Thursday tho club, will hold an "extended evening" social and dance in tho club room. Next Saturday afternoon the consolation raco will be held, from tho club room, after which the dub will be tho guests of Mrs. W. J. LTovcrd at tho rooms.
