Tho" annual ■ meeting of the ' Eastbourne Bowling Club was held on Thurs-day.-■'•'.-There-'was a:pood attendants of members, and tlie balance-slieet showed the finances to be in a satisfactory condition. 'Several new ' members 'were elected, and a .large number of residents have signified their intention ot becoming members of the club.: It. was decided to open the new; green on October' 16.' Working'bees during tho winter have done good work, and the new green is expected to prove one of the most popular resorts of the. Bay. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr. J. Morris; t ice-presidents, Messrs. T. D. F. Marsdep, J. D-Avery, W. J. Simpson;' committee; Messrs. Russell, M'Keegan, and Heenan; hou. treasurer, Mr. W. H. Steplieff; ' hon. secretary, Mr. F. J. Obittey (re-elect-ed) ; delegate. W -Bowling Centre, Mr. T. ,W. Pilcher.
