. CHAMPIONSHIP PINAL TO-DAT. Considerable interest attaches to the game between Pet'one and Athletic at the Park this afternoon. After playing an ®9jat number of teams in the competition, both clubs havo been defeated on one occasion only, and, as on tho two previous meetings this season,-, a keen, hard struggle, is expected to-day. The two clubs will be represented by- their strongest teams, and the players have.been training, hard. The game is to be played north and south, provided thero is not too much wind. As an early match, the sixth-class final, between Petone and.Poneke, is being played, This game -will decide the sixt-class championship. Tho only other game is between. Selwyn and'Hutt, the final for the ■fourth-class championship, which is being played at Petone. ■: Mr. L. Simpson will refereo tho senior final.
