TURKISH LOSSES FROM OUR SUBMARINES (Rec. September 23, 11.20 p.m.) London, September 23. 'A message from Athens gives details of the activities of the Allies' submarines in the Sea of Marmora during August. The transport Bcevalep, which was sunk oil August 18, had three thousand troops; the Barbarossa had several thousand, and another transport had three thousand trained grenadiers on board. Turkey is disguising the losses of the transports by renaming other vessels. GERMAN JIBE AT GALLIPOLI (Rec. September 24, 0.40 p.m.) London, September 23. In an article in the "Berlin Post," the writer declares that the British' are vainly trying to persuade their colonies to greater sacrifices. "Australia has heard all about the losse3 in the Dardanelles, also of the constant fights of Australian and English soldiers, so England's urgent cry will not be answered. She treads a difficult and thorny path, alone, deserted by those whose aid she reckoned on.
