PROPOSAL DECLARED CARRIED. By Telegraph.—Press Association . Tlmaru, September 23. After a scrutiny of the challenged votes, tbe Magistrate to-day declared carried a poll 011 the proposal of the Borough Council to purchase Scotts Street, a private electric installation, Scotts taking the purchase money, £35,000, in 5 per cent, debentures.
