•Last \veek Mr. Nosivorthy (AshburI toil) asked the. Prime Minister if the i Government would communicate with i tho Itnperial Government, with a, view : of ■widening tho scope for: the exporta- ; tion of wooi to the Allies', countries, i -Replying- last night Mr. ;Massey said . that ho has been received . from the Imperial Government'- that ; wool could be exported to al- | lied : or 'neutral countries. It is not ■ the desire of tho Government to in any ■ way embarrass the Imperial. Govenij inont by asking for' undue'latitudb in ( the matter of tho exportation of wool. ■-It: should be recognised that unrestricted export: to neutral countries such as ,' the United States could not be allowed. It has been arranged with the sanction of. the Imperial Government to permit exportation of merino and black- ; faced wools only, to the United States AJlianco or to parties- approved .by their"representatives, in Now- Zealand—namely, Messrs. Brandon, Hislop, I and, Brandon, - Featberstori Street, Wellington.'; Intending exporters should arrange accordingly. Mr. T; W.. M'Kenzie, for many years Jvrith the, -Wellington Meat Export; Company, has been appointed buyer; in the ;-\Vairarapa, for the Wellington Farmers' 'Jlcat Company.' k Never has the .demand for clear-headed ( constructive thinking in business been so -urgent as it is right now. Wo are liv-' j ing in <i age, and must , take edvantgao of all up-to-daite methods. It "is,in:savings from wastaiof.any description that money, is made to-day, and by v concentrating one's efforts on all details ;'of our /business we claim to bo able to produce results for our many cream suppliers.
