REPORT FROM THE BRITISH FRONT NO CHANGE IN SITUATION By Telegraph—Presa Association—Copyright . (Rec. September 20, 3 p.m). London, September 19. ■ Sir John French reports that the situation has not changed since September 15. "There is considerable mining activity on both sides, particularly in tho_ southern sectors, and the artillery is active east of Ypros." FRENCH COMMUNIQUE. Paris,- Soptember 19. •A communiquo states: "South-west of Peronne the Germans attacked after exploding a very powerful mine, but wero repulsed. "The regions of Berry-au-Bac and Champagne (north of the Camp do Chalons) have been marked off by artillery activity on both sides. East of St. Mihiel wo put out of action a German anti-aircraft battery."
(Rec. September 20, 8.10 p.m.) "The artillery on the heights of the Meuse, in the forest of Apremont, and in the Vosges, is aiming at the destruction of tho German defence, and has been particularly effective. Four of the onemy's ammunition depots were blown up." ' '
The High Commissioner reports: London, September 19, 5.40 p.m. It is _ reported from Amsterdam' that the British fleet has' destroyed the Ostend Breakwater, the fortifications, and all the enemy boats and works. The 1 German losses reach thousands.
