SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications are for aqnally and changeable weather generally, willi passing showers, especially in tho northern and East Ooast districts of tlio North Island Expect strong southerly winds, shortly, and probably giving place to increasing nortlierlies in from 24 to 36 hours. Barometer rise, but another fall is duo to follow shortly for a disturbance now developing to the westward. Gloomy weather lias predominated, with .high and squally westerly to southerly winds. Scattered rain has fallen, heavy at times in the northern and. southernmost districts 'Atmosplicric pressure is now low off East Oapc, but, has increased elsewhere since Sunday. . D. 0. BATES.
