In the House of Commons, Lord Robert Cecil (Parliamentary TJnder-Seore-tary for Foreign Affairs) stated, In reference to the German Hnanco Minister's recont statement with regard to the terms of peace and tho indemnities to be. paid to Germany, that it was unnecessary to remark that 110 suggestion as to the payment of a British indemnity would be entertained, "nor are we going to consider any question regarding the limitation of our sea power, j or any suggestion of peace except in common with bur Allies."
