Field Marshal Sir John French reports:—"The situation is unchanged. "There were twenty-one air fights during tho week over the German lines, and in eleven cases a, German aeroplane was brought down. ' "Our artillery, assisted by aeroplane direction, bombarded on September 10 two German observation balloons eastward of Ypres. One burst and tho second was deflated! and removed."
