In speaking at a jrnrade of the Nelson Police Force on Tuesday, in reply to some flattering remarks upon his long and honourable -career as a police officer, Superintendent Ellison- mentioned : that he did not- intend to take advantage of the provision to continue in the • Service for an extra six months, as it was his opinion 'that when -an officer reached the age limit.of 65 he should retire._ ' It is Superintendent Ellison's, intention to visit England, and to return to .the Dominion. Radcliffe, who had been associated With the company for niany years, and who has now gone into camp to do his duty for his country.
