: THE MUNICIPAL LINKS. ' The City Council has decided upon the charges to be imposed, for-play on the municipal golf links at Berhampore. The committee are of opinion that the charges should be as follows, leaving it open for tho council 'to reconsider the scale after the first , year, should it. be deemed' advisable For each .round of nine holes, 6d.; season tickets, £1 Is., entitling the holder to play on all weekdays except on public holidays, and from noon on;-Saturdays; half-season tickets (for issue this year) to March 31, 1916, 10s. 6d. Tho season is to commence on April 1, 1916. To bring the season tickets into 1 operation from the date of commencing play (estimated at about four weeks from date) the above half-seasou tickets are proposed. . ' The services rendered by the two professionals, Messrs. J.. ■• Watt and. W„ Simpson, have been _ suitably acknowledged by the council.
Dr. R. A. Cameron, who originated the scheme, and gave a donation of £25 towards the cost, has been'sent a letter in wliicli the council expresses appreciation of the practical interest he has taken.in tlie matter.
