HUTT VALLEY SPRING SHOW
Extensive preparations have been made, at the Lower Hutt Drill Hall for the annual spring show of the Hutt 'Valley|Horticultural Society to. be'held to-day and to-morrow. Special attention lias been paid to the decoration of the building, and a very pleasing-effect has been producod. A number of pot plants and cut flowers in abundance will be on sale.. This: popular:, show has now. become 1 ! a recognised social function, and the opening ceremony by Sir Joseph Ward this afternoon will take place at 3 o'clock. Lady Ward will also be pre-sent.'■■--iThe 'fact that, the proceeds aro to be devoted to* tlio Wounded Soldiers' Fund has given an added interest to the affair, and if the weather is at all favourable is iihticipalcd '• the show will easily eclipse my previous effort of tho society. | .
