'An Italian official communique states: "Strong enemy reinforcements are approaching Santa Maria and Tolmino. The enemy is building fresh defensive works of an almost permanent character oil the Lower Jsoiizo. "Fresh Aust'ro-Hungarian contingents, with heavy artillery, are arriving. "Tho enemy shelled the docks at Monfalcone, damaging some vessels. GREAT- PREPARATIONS • FOR; • .BATTLE. (Rec. September 13, 11.25 p.m.) London, September 13. The "Daily Express" Genova corres-pondent-says that there are great preparations in train for the battle for Gorizia and Tolmino. There are three hundred thousand Austriaus in this sector, and the same number between Gorizia and Trieste. Reinforcements are arriving at Laibach and Villach, probably from the Russian front.
