The advertised time for closing mails by steamers are' liable. to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. _ . _ The paTcel-poet mail, per Hfian Trunk express, closes at the 0.P.0. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south, per ferry steamer, at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dispatch by steamers, and trains, with the exception of the usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at the Ohief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of dosing of mails.
