Some good racing was witnessed, though tho iicltLs were smaller than usual. The totalisator investments for. tho day were 4:12,21(5 (for eight races), as against .£8768 (for seven races} on the corresponding day last year, while for the meeting the amount put through tho machine aggregated «£2G,65S 10s., as compared with 417,818 at the 19U spring meeting.
