Yesterday was a particularly busy day on the waterfront at Wellington. -Altogether 16 vessels arrived in port and 14 cntorod outwards—3o vessels in all. Included iu the number were five oversea steamers and two intercolonial traders.. Having arrived at Wellington from Liverpool -yesterday the Hurunui ia expected to sail for Lyttelton on September 15. Khe is duo at Dunodin on September 19, Timaru September 23, Tokomaru Bay September 26, Gisborne September 30, Napier October 2, and will leave Wellington on October 8 for London. From Wellington the New Zealand Shipping- Company's Whakatane will proceed on to Lyttolton on Tuesday next.
