NEW MAGISTRATE WELCOMED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Taumarunul, September 10. , 'At the monthly sitting of the Tanmarunui Court, Mr. Itewitt, the new Magistrate, was welcomed by Mr.' Shortland, tho senior member of the Bar. Paddy Pullen, Le/ter Hunter, Michael O'Brien, John Holmes, and Richard King were each fined £50 and costs for sly grog-selling. John Henderson was fined £10 and costs for introducing liquor into a kianga. A milkman) was also fined £5 for watering milk.
