At the end of!six furlongs Fabrikoff was out well clear of the three next best horses, and was still in front at the home turn, where the rest of the field were bunched. At the entrance to the straight Scotch Melody and Chrysotis Ta.n through and went away together. ■ The former was first past the post, winning by a, short neck from Chrysotis,. who beat Fabrikoff by tliToe lengths.
