SPRING FLOWERS
EXHIBITS AT JOHNSONVILLE
The Spring Flower Show which was held in Moore Brothers' Hall at Johnsonrille yesterday afternoon and evening, in connection with the Methodist Church of that district, presented au excellent display of flowers. Narcissi, of course, predominated, and some fine specimens of those delightful, flowers were exhibited, the winner ol' the cham-
pion flowers being Mr. W. H. Frethey, with his Lord Eoberts daiFoclil. Nurserymen were represented by Messrs. Cooper and Westbury, the former's collection of flowers, which occupied the centre of the hall, being for exhibition only. It made a very effective display. Tho domestic section of tho show was also good. The judges were. Mr. Cooper, for the cut b!ooms; Miss Murray, decorative
work; and Miss Eeniue, of the Technical School, for tho cookery. .The honorary secretary was the' Rev. S. Peryman. Thero were also stalls for sweets, dolls, fancy goods, etc., and in .the evening Punch and Judy performed, while tho shooting gallery held attractions for others who were present.
