- PARTICIPATION IN BALLOTS. A question regarding the - conditions under -which soldiers with the Expeditionary Force could take part in land ballots Was asked in the House of Representatives yesterday by Mr. R. Scott (Otago Central). There was, he said, a great deal of concern on this point amongst the parents of men at the front. , The Prime Minister said that steps would be taken to put the matter right, and a clause would be inserted in a small Land Bill' which he was bringing down. Meanwhile he had given instruction that any soldier at the front might be represented in ballots by any of his relatives or bj; any other friend whom lie might appoint.
