The Press Bureau states that Mr. Asquith, tbo I'rimo Minister, lias appointed a comxnittec, with the Marquis of Lansdowne as chairman, to advise the Government as to the best method of ; utilising the National Register for the successful prosecution of the war. - The committee, at its .first sitting, agreed to an interim report dealing with the conditions under which eligibles' registration forms will be made available for use by the-Departments concerned.This will have tho effect of indicating approximately tho classes which in tlio public interest the recruiting, authorities should approach. - -
