SUBSIDY FOR IRON INDUSTRY
AN AUCKLAND RECOMMENDATION (By Telegraph.—Pu'sb Association.) Auckland, September 9. The Industrial Association resolved to-day to inform tlio Hon. A. M. Myers that it noted with pleasure Lis action in regard to tlio manufacture of munitions, and suggesting that a. subsidy bo offered tor tlio establishment of tlio iron industry in tlio Dominion.
Ihe Industrial Association decided after a lengthy discussion to inform tlio Industrial Corporation that it viewed with alarm tho move which had been made to reduce the number of apprentices ill awards of tho Arbitration Court. It was also decided to suggest to the corporation that a- deputation wait upon tlio Government in conncction -with tlie matter,
