IS THE CROWN PRINCE DEAD?
STARTLING ALLEGATION SHOT BY A GERMAN BULLET By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. September 7, 3.30 p.m.) London, September 7. Tho French Patriotic Association declares that the German .Crown Prince was killed by a German bullet in tho autumn, but photographs lvero faked and subsequently published, and tho Crown Prince was resurrected in official dispatches. It is easy to understand Ins absence from his daughter's christening and the Crown Princess's desire to return to her mother. The German people were tricked in order to avoid a national catastrophe. Tho association suggests that every Allied aviator, ought to drop leaflets in Germany urging the people to demand to see the Crown Prince. [The German Crown Prince was once before reported to have been killed, and the Austrian Emperor was reported to liavo died. Both these reports were subsequently shown to have been "much exaggerated," as Mark Twain would have said. This latest announcement of the Crown Prince's demise may be based on idle rumour.]
